After an action-packed plan commission meeting where the benefits of Green Design and the modern aesthetic were weighed at length, we were allowed to proceed.  The race against the snow is on.

Mound system is installed, the site is staked and grade elevation is set.  The homeowner has spent the better part of the summer clearing buckthorn from the site, so its going to be an easy excavation.

Pragmatic builds some tree protection barriers to keep the excavation from destroying some elms nearest to the pit.

Mobile office Alpha arrives

Hay arrives to keep the excavated ground from freezing before footings are poured.
